Counting Songs

Counting songs make learning Fun
ditch the pen and paper
So many of us are homeschooling right now and Piccolo's counting songs can make teaching the kids basic counting skills and times tables much more enjoyable!
As well as more enjoyable, counting songs have been proven as a more effective resource for learning. Even better, songs for counting are a fantastic example of a form of incidental learning, where the child learns to count up and down through the music without actually realising they are counting.
Piccolo has counting songs for counting up, counting down and for practicing times tables! We've even got songs for counting in another language!

Counting songs - Counting up
1 2 3 4 5 - Piccolo Music
Counting Up songs are a great way of developing children's understanding that numbers are not just words, they also have value. In Piccolo's version of the traditional children's nursery rhyme "1 2 3 4 5" children learn that the "number words" have a value as you count through to five, and then ten.
Something that seems very simple to us, is a completely new learning experience for children, that is made more exciting by incorporating the learning into counting songs with music.
Lyrics
One, two, three, four, five
Once I caught a fish alive
Six, seven, eight, nine, ten
Then I let him go again
Why did you let him go?
Because he bit my finger so, ouch
Which finger did it bite?
This little finger on my right
One, two, three, four, five
Once I caught a fish alive
Six, seven, eight, nine, ten
Then I let him go again
Why did you let him go?
Because he bit my finger so, ouch
Which finger did it bite?
This little finger on my right
